New message, new release, new items, new message, new release.... His Bandcamp account was having fun with him today. So many of the musicians he followed seemed to all be doing things at once. New music, be it to stream, download or buy on CD. New merch, with fresh tee shirt designs to allow him to proclaim his allegiances to the world. New requests for favours, pointing him towards awards voting that his favourites hope to gain recognition from.
But wasn't that what being a music fan was all about? Not just the music, not just the person, but the interaction, the sense of community and belonging, the feeling of being someone who has helped a career, a talent, move forward in the world?
So he would consider each one, make his purchases , show his support, share his love for their art, and feel like he'd done something good for the world. If you can't be creative at least support those who can. The world needs music.
